Our focus on sales and revenue targets serves and advances our mission objective—to increase functioning, productivity, and income earning potential for our low-income consumers by correcting refractive error and presbyopia with eyeglasses. We are working to transform the systemic dysfunction of an optical market that has failed to deliver eyeglasses—a 700-year-old technology—to 2.7 billion consumers in need of vision correction, most of whom live on less than $4 a day.
We serve low-income consumers, not as beneficiaries but as customers. By selling eyeglasses, we awaken new demand and seed a viable market. We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Regional Marketing Lead
Location: Lagos
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Impeccable attention to detail with strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- A strong ability to write copy, drive content creation, marketing program implementation, design, and events.
- Comfort with a flexible work schedule and working across multiple time zones, including some late evenings to sync with global teams.
- Experience, and a commitment to, working respectfully with a diverse team; experience collaborating with outside consultants to move projects forward.
- Demonstrated interest in social enterprise models and desire to learn how to articulate and share VisionSpring’s unique approach.
- Must meet the highest standards of ethics and personal integrity, with a demonstrated capacity for discretion and for handling sensitive information with care.
- Must be highly organized with extraordinary follow through and a strong personal sense of accountability.
- Must be legally and permanently authorized to work in Nigeria or Ghana.
- Must be able to travel, up to 10% of time, for domestic and international assignments to locations with limited infrastructure.
You will impress us if you have any of the following:
- Advanced degree in marketing, branding, communications, journalism, public relations, or another related field;
- Experience working with the media (print, television, online) including the development, successful delivery, and uptake of press releases;
- Experience working/studying across languages and cultures;
- Experience crafting communications for social enterprises and/or nonprofits.
- Understanding of the PR supply chain; and/or
- Experience using marketing automation platforms.

2.) Global Program Lead, Nigeria
Location: Lagos
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience on the operations side of health care service delivery, preferably with outreach services.
- Master’s Degree in Businesses Administration, Marketing, Health Management / Public Health, or commensurate work experience in related to public health programming.
- Experience in technical support and coaching of partners and/or team members.
- Ability to positively influence people without having line management relationship.
- Strong commitment to respectful collaboration with multi-lingual team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Ability to travel 30% of the time. Willingness to travel internationally and work in locations with limited infrastructure.
- Preferred experience and skills: (1) Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa, India, Bangladesh; (2) Working in a high-growth or start-up environment; (3) Working in an international organization operating in low- and middle-income countries. (4) Experience as program lead.

3.) Technical Product Owner – Manager
Location: Lagos
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner-Manager or similar role in IT, with a focus on electronic data systems.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience as a Product Owner in at least 1 product rollout/launch, ideally in an international development context.
- Software programming experience, with at least one completed project.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience of working in Sub Saharan Africa, India, Bangladesh, or Vietnam is a plus.
