We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Unit Head, Internal Audit
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Execute financial, operational or compliance audits using a risk-based internal audit program
- 100% execution of approved annual audit plan. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirement and avoid regulatory penalties
- Perform preliminary planning and establishes direction for audits, coordination of team members, manage audit exercises to quality outcomes, while meeting established time budget.
- Perform audit work, including planning, working papers documentation, finding, and associated reports; verifies the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to clients’ premium and Company’s assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.
- Verifications of claims processes to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and regulatory compliance. Identify discrepancies, potential fraud, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Conduct audits and verifications of technical bills, including premium calculations, claim settlements, and related financial transactions. Ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Identify control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare monthly inflow and outflow reports for the Managing Director/CEO
- Compile financial data, analyze trends, and provide insights on financial performance, ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of the reports.
- Collaborate with the Reinsurance department to ensure proper documentation and adherence to treaty terms and access compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements
- Effectively prepare summaries of findings, audit reports and communicate audit findings and recommendations to appropriate auditee levels.
Requirements
- First Degree (or its equivalent) in disciplines such as Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in Insurance.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as NIA, SEC, CBN, PenCom, FRCN, and Tax Authorities.
- Possession of a relevant Professional Certification (CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA) is required.

2.) Regional Retail Underwriter
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Responsibilities
- Preparation of quotes for various retail transactions emanating from the Northern Region
- Imputing of retail policies on TQ
- Issuance of Motor Certificates on TQ
- Documentation of Policy Documents/Endorsements
- Scanning and uploading of mails/placement instructions and all relevant documents on TQ
- Confirmation of premium with Finance & Account Dept.
- Sending of emails to Finance & Accounts Dept. to generate receipts for processed transactions.
- Engagement of assigned team member
- Monitoring of loss ratio for decision-making on review of the company’s position on individual policy
- Any other job assigned by superior officer(s) Key Skills and Competencies
- Insurance Knowledge: Understanding of retail insurance products, policies, and procedures related to underwriting, particularly in the Northern Region.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in utilizing underwriting software like Turn Quest for policy inputting, document management, and transaction processing.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately input policy details, prepare quotes, issue certificates, and document policy documents with precision to ensure compliance and minimize errors.
- Analytical Skills: Capacity to monitor loss ratios, analyze data, and make informed decisions regarding the review of the company’s position on individual policies, contributing to risk management and strategic planning.
- Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing insurance underwriting practices, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements in all activities.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in a relevant field of study from a reputable University/Polytechnic.
- Professional Qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, (ACII).
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years as an insurance underwriter.

Location: Lagos
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Ensure prompt and effective discharge of all audit work as delegated or assigned by Unit Head – Internal Audit.
- Participating in the execution of approved annual audit plan.
- Execute financial, operational or compliance audits using a risk-based internal audit methodology.
- Confirm adherence to policies, procedures and processes instituted by Board and Executive Management through audit procedures.
- Review and evaluate effectiveness of the control environment and report on any exceptions noted to Unit Head- Internal Audit.
- Perform audit work, including planning, working papers documentation, findings, and associated reports; verify the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to clients’ premium and Company’s assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.
- Engagement of auditee department in a walk thorough audit to have a clear knowledge and deep understanding of the process.
- Conduct audit and verifications of claims processes to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct audit and verifications of technical bills, including premium calculations, claim settlements, and related financial transactions.
- Identify control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
- In a timely manner, effectively prepare summaries of findings, audit reports and communicate audit findings and recommendations to Unit Head- Internal Audit
- Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Unit Head and HOD – Internal Audit from time to time.
Requirements
- First Degree (or its equivalent) in disciplines such as Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of auditing experience; a Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- Proficiency in maintaining precise records and documentation.
- Thorough familiarity with regulatory bodies such as NIA, SEC, CBN, PenCom, FRCN, and Tax Authorities.
- Possession of a relevant Professional Certification (CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA).
