1.) Business Development and Portfolio Management Intern
Location: Lagos
Duties and Accountabilities
- Support in Market Research
- Support in client mapping and reaching out to potential clients.
- Support in developing pitch books and teasers.
- Support in specific tasks for ongoing transactions (under supervision)
- Support on Financial Analysis
Selection Criteria
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program
- Preferred field of study: Accounting; Finance; Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- 2-3 years of previous work experience
- Fluency in English.

3.) Associate Operations Officer
Location: Lagos
Selection Criteria
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline e.g., Business, Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, International Development, and Engineering, etc.
- Four to six years of experience in the private sector working on environmental sciences, sustainability, sustainable finance, and/or climate science, data, and./or social accountability; gender experience is required.
- Solid understanding of the SDGs, ESG, and sustainability indicators, as well as monitoring and evaluation techniques is a plus.
- Strong experience in project management, community development, local economic development, and integration of women and youth.
- Prior experience working with mining or infrastructure companies to improve relationships with stakeholders or socio-economic development of host communities is an advantage.
- Good understanding of business and socio-economic conditions across Africa.
- Ability to develop and manage relations with diverse stakeholders.
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship, proactivity, and capacity to innovate.
- Strong drive for results, with a history of strong delivery in quality and time; and
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and ability to effectively dialogue with and relate to clients and stakeholders.

4.) Senior Investment Officer
Location: Lagos
Selection Criteria
- MBA or equivalent qualification.
- At least 10-12 years of experience in corporate and/or project finance with a proven track record of sourcing, structuring and closing investments (including complex ones).
- Excellent financial, credit and equity skills; demonstrated ability to creatively structure a variety of complex debt and equity instruments.
- Expertise in the agribusiness/general manufacturing/FMCG industry. Experience in Africa will be a plus.
- Proactiveness, strong business development and client relationship skills, and ability to focus on client needs effectively.
- Ability to interact directly and independently with the senior management of potential clients, financial and technical partners, as well as senior government officials.
- Sound business judgment in identifying potential business partners and investment opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Team player. Ability to work sensitively and effectively in a multicultural setting.
- Takes personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success.
- Willing to travel to various regions in Africa (as long as safety standards are met based on the World Bank Group standards).
- Strong passion in sustainable economic development.

5.) Communications Officer
Location: Lagos
Selection Criteria
- Master’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Public Affairs, Marketing, Business/Finance with 7+ years’ experience in corporate communications, international relations, public affairs, political science, or other related field. In addition, a degree in Business Administration and/or working experience in Investment Operations will be valued.
- Solid background in communications
- Strong knowledge and experience working across in markets in Africa, especially in Nigeria or Central Africa, and in the private sector is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage relationships with senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with industry subject-matter experts and operational leads, understand technical aspects related to operations, portfolios, and investments, in order to develop impactful communications strategy.
- Proven ability to capture trends, case studies and innovations in communications products in a compelling, easy-to-understand manner.
- Proven ability to think strategically and rapidly analyze diverse information from varied sources and an ability to learn, adapt, and to be innovative as new communications challenges arise.
- Self-motivated, creative, excellent organizational skills, proven ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated project-management skills, in relation to event organization.
- Excellent English and French, including writing and editing skills.
- Understanding of multilateral development institutions, including the World Bank Group policies and operations; understanding of current development topics and issues.
