1.) Process / Production Support Officer
Location: Cross River
Education / Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or in General Engineering with Process Engineering as the main subject.
- Very good knowledge of the physic-chemical products, of relevant parameters and standards applicable to cement manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of statistical process control methods and experimental design.
- Good knowledge of project management methods.
Experience:
- 10 years and above in a process role depending on the size and challenges of the position.
Knowledge & Skills
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Level III in process in a complex plant, otherwise level II.
- Level I in quality control.
- Level I in Environment.
- Level I in automation.
- In-depth knowledge of the cement making process.
- General knowledge of physics, chemistry, science of heat and computing.
- Knowledge of the chemical parameters that affect the quality of cement.
- General knowledge of process control tools.
- Knowledge of environmental standards and plant process safety.
- Have an overview of the latest innovations in the cement industry

2.) Mining Engineer
Location: Cross River
Responsibilities
- Enforce the implementation of an effective safety action plan including training, communication, audit that is aligned with the HSMS developed by the region as well as weekly safety briefings and inspections of the Quarry in accordance with the Quarry safety Handbook
- Coordinating and monitoring drilling and blasting designs and planning with the team and to ensure maximum utilization of production drilling equipment as it relates to Production and Geo-technical Wall Control blasting
- Improving of production rates for excavators and dump trucks as well as drilling and blasting patterns to increase fragmentation
- Daily supervision of production equipment and ensuring that daily pre-start checks are done and all necessary safety documentations are carried out.
- Daily inspection of blasted patterns to make sure meeting the required fragmentation and ensuring that the drill and blast procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Defining the strategy of mining operations on daily basis (Grade control drilling, Drill and blast, Load and haul)
- Crusher feed blending through upcoming week to meet budget targets.
- Daily forecast calculations of Grade Control and Blast Holes drilling meters, total waste material to be mined and supervision of the overburden movement activities.
- Total ore to be mined, average ore mined grade and Crusher feed tonnage and its average grade.
- Daily supervision on the field to make sure of digging units’ bench setup and productivity, shortest haulage cycles for all trucks, waste dumps’ conditions, haul road conditions, mechanical problems facing production and ancillary equipment to discuss it with heavy mobile equipment maintenance manager.
- Coordinate with Quarry Supervisor to ensure maximum utilization of digging units and dump trucks.
- Daily and Weekly QA/QC for blasted patterns to identify problems that may affect the production and find out the best way to avoid it.
- Consult with mine planner on issues relating to production drilling, blast and mine design and to identify the geological structures and hardness of rock to make modifications in blasting parameters to overcome any expected problems.
- Assisting in developing drill and blast budgets and forecasts as required and making cost studies for blasting operations with different parameters to meet budgeted cost and operations inquiries.
- Any other task that may be assigned from time to time
Education / Qualifications
- HND / BSc. Mining Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in similar assignment with an experience in open pit mining environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Computer skills (excel sheet and PowerPoint in reporting) and AutoCAD

3.) Mechanical Engineer
Location: Ogun
Responsibilities
- Prepare Maintenance Program, Organize and Supervise Maintenance Work carried out on all plants and equipment, including their auxiliaries.
- Prepare Daily and Monthly maintenance reports on plants and equipment in his/her section.
- Implements Mechanical Procedures
- Implement WAPCO quality, safety, health and environmental policy in area of responsibility.
- Carry out Scheduling, Planning of works (including resources) and execute jobs.
- Manage his/her team by:
- Defining Tasks and Objectives and annually carry out their Performance Reviews;
- Ensuring Quality Work ;
- Ensuring good working relationship with and between his/her work force;
- Motivating his/her team and ensure good level of disciplines.

- Contribute to Preparation and Work within the Departmental Budget.

Experience

4.) Draughtsman
Location: Ogun
Responsibilities
- Respect the safety and environmental policies, rules, regulations and standard work instructions of the company. Participate in both plant and department safety initiatives.
- Leads investigation of chronic or recurring problems, leading in the research, design and implementation and improvement of the final solution and track
- Prepares and make mechanical, electrical as well as civil/structural drawings, make modifications to the existing drawings based on proposed improvements.
- Make modifications on existing designs to suit safety, equipment reliability and cost effectiveness
- Carries out and/or oversees the development of modifications that are the result of maintenance improvement actions
- Perform the role of UCC for contracted tasks, ensure completion on schedule and in line with job scope.
- Prepare Bills of quantities
- Supervise and monitor construction jobs on site to ensure proper interpretation of drawings
- Ensures that all manufacturers’ drawings are kept in good, safe conditions and easily accessible as well as proper management of plant documentation – soft and hard copies.
- Confirmation of items/spares delivered as per order specifications.
- Manage AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, ArchiCAD and other CAD software/programs.
- Support the Inspectors and/or Planners whenever the need arises.
- Any other duty assigned from time to time.
Education / Qualifications
- HND / B.Sc / B.Tech / B.Eng in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, including rotating machines.
- Equipment maintenance, condition monitoring experience in a refinery, power or heavy process plant
Knowledge & Skills
