Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State – It is a conventional University established in January 2013 and currently has three faculties as follows: Faculty of Humanities and Education, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Science with a plan for additional faculties.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following Non-academic positions below in Federal University Gusau (FUGUS):
1. Chief Procurement Officer
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for the position of the Chief Procurement Officer should possess:
- Twelve (12) years of relevant cognate experience in procurement activities in a tertiary institution or public service. He / she must have reached the position of Principal Procurement Officer I or its equivalent.
- Be competent in relevant computer / ICT operation.
- Possession of relevant higher degree or Postgraduate Professional qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
- Bureau for Public Procurement Certificate of conversion will be an added advantage.
- He / she must show evidence of leadership qualities, integrity and team work.
The Person
- Candidate must have exhibited in the past, considerable ability, competence, industry and moral integrity;
- Be free from any moral, social and financial embarrassment;
- Must be of good physical and mental health:
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills;
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills; and
- Should not be older than Sixty (60) years by the time of appointment.
2. Chief Technologist
Requirements
Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:
- By promotion of a confirmed and suitable Assistant Chief Technologist with HND (or other equivalent Professional Qualifications) with a minimum of three years experience as Assistant Technologist plus Professional registration.
3. Assistant Chief Technologist
Requirement
- Candidate should possess a good HND. Must have spent 3 years on the post of Principal Technologist plus professional registration.
4. Principal Technologist
Requirements
Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:
- A good HND with minimum of 9 years post qualification experience plus professional registration OR
- A good HND with M.Tech in same discipline plus a minimum of Nine (9) years post qualification experience.
5. Senior Technologist I
Requirements
Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:
- A good HND (or other recognized equivalent qualification) plus a minimum of 9 years post qualification experience OR
- Or other recognized equivalent professional qualifications, plus a minimum of Fifteen(15) years post qualification experience OR
- HND plus M.Tech in the same discipline with a minimum of three (6) years post qualification experience.
6. Senior Technologist II
Requirements
Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:
- A good HND (or other recognized equivalent qualification) plus a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience OR
- Or other recognized equivalent professional qualifications, plus a minimum of Twelve (12) years post qualification experience OR
- HND plus M.Tech in the same discipline with a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience.
7. Technologist I
Requirements
- Candidate should possess a good HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit level plus registration with Institute of Science Laboratory Technology with at least 3 years work experience.
- Candidate should possess other recognise professional qualifications plus at least a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience OR a holder of HND plus M.Tech. degree in same discipline
8. Technologist II
Requirements
- Candidate should possess a good HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit level plus registration with institute of Science Laboratory Technology
- In addition, the candidate should possess 5 O’Level credits pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics
9. Principal Farm Manager
Requirements
- Candidate should possess 5 O’Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus a Degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with at least 10 years work experience.
- A postgraduate degree or Diploma in Farm Management will be an added advantage.
10. Senior Farm Manager
Requirements
- Candidate should possess 5 O’Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics with a Degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with at least 9 years work experience.
11. Farm Manager II
Requirements
- Candidate should possess 5 O’Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus a Degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with at least 7 years work experience.

Requirements
- Candidate should possess 5 O’Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus a Degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with at least 2 years work experience.
14. Farm Officer II
Requirements
- Candidate should possess 5 O’Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus a recognized Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture or related discipline.
15. Principal Engineer
Requirements
- Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
- Must have 9 years of cognate experience.
16. Senior Engineer
Requirements
- Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
- Must have 6 years of cognate experience.
17. Engineer I
Requirements
- Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
- Must have 3 years of cognate experience.
18.) Engineer II
Requirements
- Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
