1.) Research Assistant, USAID Tuberculosis Local Organizations Network (TB-LON) Regions 1, 2 and 3 Midterm Performance Evaluation
Locations: Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Lagos, Nasarawa and Osun
Qualifications
The candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field
- A minimum of two years of post-graduation experience as research assistant in evaluating large health and TB projects, including baseline and mid-term studies of health and TB projects in Nigeria.
- Strong background in qualitative data collection methods, including focus group discussions (FGD), key informants/ in-depth interviews (KII/IDI).
- Advanced skills in quantitative data collection and analysis with the use of softwares such as Dedoose, NVivo, Stata or R.
- S/he must demonstrate high command of English language written and verbal fluency.
- Background in USAID’s cross-cutting program priorities, such as gender equality and women’s empowerment, youth, etc.
- The ability to contribute to produce preliminary and final reports on time.

2.) Team Leader, USAID Tuberculosis Local Organizations Network (TB-LON) Regions 1, 2 and 3 Midterm Performance Evaluation

- Advanced Graduate Degree in a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in evaluation design, methods, management, and implementation.
- Previous experience serving as Team Leader on health-sector evaluations, assessments, and research studies. USAID evaluation experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Gender and age group analysis skills preferred.
- Technical expertise in TB and public health.
- Background in USAID’s cross-cutting program priorities, such as gender equality and women’s empowerment, youth, etc.
- Previous experience working in Africa.
- Experience facilitating and providing leadership in collaborative and participatory evaluations with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- The ability to produce preliminary and final reports on time.

- Support the Team Leader to respond to USAID comments on the draft report and prepare a final report.
- Work collaboratively with team members throughout design, implementation, analysis, and report writing to complement each other’s areas of expertise.

- The TB Expert will be a subject matter expert with strong knowledge of Nigeria and the Nigerian health sector, including TB/NTP, with expertise in program evaluations.
- A minimum of five years of previous experience serving as a TB Expert on health-sector evaluations, assessments, and research studies. USAID evaluation experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Gender and age group analysis skills preferred.
