Police Recruitment News Today
The Nigeria Police recruitment is ongoing and its operation will attract 30,000 youths to join the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Solomon Arase, on Sunday issued a statement confirming the statement.
The former IGP of police, Arase, stated that after six (6) weeks of receiving applications from over 400,000 Nigerians who applied for the position of police constable.
According to his statement on the official website, the NPF recruitment exercise will kickstart nationwide on Monday, January 8, with successful applicants being subjected to physical and credentials screening.
In regards to the closure of the recruitment portal,
- Kaduna State has the highest list with 31,117 successful applicants,
- Seconded by Adamawa State with 29,848 applicants.
- Benue State with 25,346 applicants.
- Borno State with 24,854 applicants.
- Katsina State with 24,239 applicants and
- Bauchi State with 22,958.
Other state with successful candidates are:
- Kano State , 21,006 applicants
- Niger State , 17,959 applicants
- Gombe State , 17,493 applicants
- Yobe State , 17,207 applicants
- Nasarawa State , 16,284 applicants
- Jigawa State , 16,007 applicants
- Taraba State , 15,622 applicants
- Plateau State , 15,389 applicants and
- Kebbi State , 12,917 applicants.
- Anambra had the least successful candidates overall, 1,141
- Seconded by Ebonyi State, with 1,537
- Lagos State, 1,775, and
- Abia State, 2,110.
The management expects that applicants should be well-mannered expected by Nigerian citizens desiring a career in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the commission is an institution driven by severe laws and regulations and which holds discipline as a bedrock for its existence.

The NPF board has released a list of all the shortlisted applicants for the screening procedure, which is an important step in the selection process.

The Nigeria Police Force recruitment board has officially announced that screening of the successful applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force’s Police Constable cadre will commence on January 8th.
The recruitment portal currently closed earlier this month, 416,270 Nigerian youngsters were considered to have met the initial specification for the next phase of the operation. This includes 315,065 applicants for General Duty and 101,205 for specialty positions.
All the successful candidates will receive an invitation letters by December 23rd, 2023. Get ready for the next stage of the recruitment which include physical and credentials screening in the applicant’s home state.
Successful candidates will provide original copies of their credentials, qualifications, and also letters of attestation from their LG Chairmen or Traditional Leaders.
Examination will be conducted based on Computer-based testing (CBT) and then the medical examinations will follow, updates on the dates for these stages will be announced in due course.
Nigeria Police News Today on Training
The NPF board have finally released a list of candidates who qualified for the training, and also the dates, places, and official requirements for the 2024 NPF Constables cadre training, which can be accessed via the official portal provided above.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has state it clearly that as part of the Nigeria Police Force recruiting process for 10,000 Police Constables cadre into the NPF, successful applicants will commence training on Monday.
To establish satisfactory security measures in the 12 additional institutes selected for the training exercise across the country, as well as the four (4) prime police colleges in Enugu, Maiduguri, Lagos, and Kaduna, all commandants will collaborate with their respective commissioners of police.
