We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Care/Support Worker to join one of our friendly teams of Personal Assistants in the Blackburn area to support one of our clients with Cerebral Palsy.

It is important to be aware that our client has allergies, so you will need to be mindful of any animal hair on your clothes, particularly if you have pets. The use of perfume / scented body spray is also not permitted.
There are also dogs in the family household. You must have a full, clean driving licence and be over the age of 25 to drive the client’s accessible vehicle.

Here at Salvere Support, we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person-centered care to really make a difference in our clients. You’ll only be working with one client, which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.

Duties

In this advantageous role, you’ll support one of our amazing clients in living independently and confidently in their own home. Every day will be different — from assisting with clinical care and personal support, to offering genuine companionship and helping them enjoy life to the fullest. Whether it’s going for walks, grabbing a coffee in town, or even heading out for a swim, you’ll be a key part in supporting them both in their own home and out in the community.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training, and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive to meet their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis to keep your knowledge and skills current.

Who we are looking for:

You must be self-motivated, well organised, reliable, and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
Positive behaviour management and supporting anxiety.Personal care, including support with showering, drying, and dressing.Providing companionship, including getting out in the community (including swimming)Medication administration.
You should also have:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

Pay: £13.05 per hour

Expected hours: 10.75 hours per week Part time
