We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaning Operative to join our team in helping to create a clean & hygienic environment for pupils and staff at a primary school in Farnworth, Widnes.

As a new employee, you would receive comprehensive job training to give you the skills and knowledge to meet our standards via our Safe & Effective Cleaning training program, consisting of our training video and a fully paid training and induction session in our Widnes head office.

All new employees are also provided with free uniforms (tabards or t-shirts). Additional uniform items can be purchased at subsidised rates. We also provide any necessary PPE.

Duties

Duties will include cleaning classrooms, communal areas, toilet rooms, emptying bins, mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitising surfaces and touch points, and any other associated tasks.

What we ask from you

• Must be able to get to the place of work for the required times (essential)
• Previous cleaning experience would be a welcome advantage, but not essential, as we provide full training
• Ability to provide references is Essential. Employment references are preferred, but we will also accept education references or personal character references if employment references are not possible
• Permission to apply for a DBS check (criminal record check)
• Good standard of attendance, punctuality
• Attention to detail, a conscientious attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to provide an excellent level of service

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Hourly Pay rates – £12.60 Monday to Friday, £13.10 weekends, £18.90 bank holidays

Expected hours: Part-time

Schedule:

Hours: 3.15 pm to 5.45 pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15 to 5.15 pm on Friday during term time. (total 12 hours per week). Additional hours will be required in some school holidays for deep cleans.
