Job Overview
Royal Mail P&FS is recruiting for Cleaning Operatives at the North West Super Hub. Royal Mail is something special, a well–loved brand people can rightly be proud of. Duties
As a cleaning operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting, and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard.
We require someone who can operate a variety of cleaning equipment. However, full training is provided, including a comprehensive first-day induction. This role will be physically challenging and involves manual handling activities.
Experience
- Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential. Naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills, you’ll be able to communicate with customers and managers whilst complying with Health & Safety regulations
- The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You’ll be able to work on your initiative, organising your own time, as you’ll be managed remotely.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: Part-time
Benefits:
- 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme, and Defined Contribution pension scheme, plus car parking
Schedule:
- Contract type: Fixed Term 6 months
- Working hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week, Weekends Only.
- As part of Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions, you will work from 2 pm to 10 pm either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site, ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards of service our customers expect
