Job Overview
Integrity Lifestyle is a values-based provider of residential care and supported housing for children ages 8 to 17 and young adults aged 16 and up. Our goal is to establish environments that are secure, supportive, and empowering so that each young person can develop resilience, independence, and a bright future. Whether they are receiving care in our children’s home or getting ready to live on their own, you will be an essential part of helping young people flourish as a Children & Young People’s Residential Support Worker.
Duties
Among your responsibilities will be:
- Establishing wholesome, trustworthy connections with youth.
- Assisting with everyday chores, education, and personal hygiene.
- Promoting the growth of life skills like self-care, cooking, and budgeting.
- Assisting youth in obtaining training, education, and community activities.
- Preserving correct documentation and reports in compliance with Ofsted guidelines.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of every young person under your supervision.
- Collaborating with social workers, other professionals, and coworkers.
- Taking part in waking nights and sleep-ins as part of the rota.
- To guarantee continuity of care, keep lines of communication open and strong with kids, families, and other team members.
- Keep an eye on the kids’ development and let the right people know about any worries or changes in their behaviour or health.
- As needed for appointments or outings, drive to different destinations while making sure everyone is safe.
- Make use of IT systems for reporting and record-keeping, making sure that all paperwork is correct and current.
- Attend training classes to improve your knowledge and abilities in childcare and support jobs.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
- Resilience, tolerance, and the capacity to maintain composure under duress.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity for teamwork.
- Work shift flexibility, including weekend, evening, and sleep-in hours.
Requirements
- While childcare expertise is highly desirable, prior experience working with children is required.
- Effective interactions with children and their families require strong communication skills.
- It is advantageous to have experience creating care plans.
- IT system expertise is advantageous for reporting and documentation needs.
- A caring strategy with a dedication to advancing the welfare of the people you assist. This position is perfect for people who are committed to improving children’s lives by providing them with supportive care and direction.
Desired:
- Residential Childcare Level 3 Diploma (or similar)
- Complete UK driver’s license
